life has changed

Posted in life on May 8, 2008 by mulhollanddrive

i feel afraid when cars roar by.

i cannot sleep sometimes because the accident replays so vividly in my mind.

i feel i’m on borrowed time.

i find myself wanting to just be alone. for. a. long. time.

i am back from the dead, yet i don’t feel like part of the living anymore.

RSAF , above all

Today, I went for my COMPASS Test. Was the youngest pilot candidate there. Most of the other guys were enlisted or already finished BMT ( i.e one year older). I think I did reasonably well enough and really hope I am selected!!

Regarding the actual nature of the tests, I can’t reveal so much because everything really is very practical. You have to go there and read the instructions CAREFULLY before you will understand anything.

I scored 10/10 Flying, 9/10 Psychomotor, 6/10 Maths stuff. There are other stuff but these are the only results that were shown to me. The orientation and instrument intepretation was pretty easy to me.

Really hope I pass COMPASS and get called for interview. Would really like to clear all the stages before I get enlisted and start on flying training ASAP.

RSAF, Above All. Prestige never goes out of style.

hi guys,

it’s been a long time since my accident and life certainly has changed. i don’t know if it’s for the better of for the worse but things certainly do feel different. no longer can i play football or cycle; these things carry painful traumatic memories that are best left in the murky depths of my mind.

but! my good mate the slash yuen has introduced me to a hobby that does seem ‘ahpek’ or ‘uncool’ to others: angling! it’s quite fun to read up about the rod, reel, line, leader and lures. on a sidenote, most of  the tackle shops are at the kampong glam district, which i like alot due to the nostalgic, laid-back feel one feels when relaxing at the various coffeeshops there. the food and drinks are good too!

school has been ok. my first week at school was swamped with “OMG” looks at my seriously sexy arm. i resorted to wearing the ares pullover on some-days when i feel particularly lazy to deflect such aforementioned cursory glances.

im gonna set this straight, STOP ASKING ME RANDOM QUESTIONS ABOUT MY INJURY! it’s so long already!

btw cheers out to everyone who sent their well-wishes to me in the turbulent recovery period. special mention goes out to my gang who were sensitive enough about my injury.

THAT’S ALL FOLKS ( for now )
